Do you care to go to games, know people who are gaining interest or have a team they follow? I am just curious if the NFL is winning you over any of you (I'm sure less commercial breaks and a bit more regulated speed of play to make it a bit more like viewing soccer would help ;) ). London to get team if trend continues. Most universities have an amateur team, about 3 games a week get televised, and the wembley games are always sell-outs. (My last boss went to all I think). I doubt a European league would work. A London team could work, but not sure what the crowd numbers would be like, as the Wembley games are special events. I'd go to a few games though. Check out Nfluk.com for more info. Thanks, and yes I don't think a Euro league would ever work, but just one team in London would be interesting; I also figured those NFL games were popular since they were a 'new' thing, an event really rather than a weekly sport match. Having a loyal fanbase for a new team is far different than ''lets go the American Football teams are in town'' and it only happening once or twice per year so its like a special event. As the sport is not played here and I have no connection with the teams that play I can't claim to have an interest in it. It's not that I dislike the sport, it's just not part of everyday life here in the same way (association)football is. You know, where they kick a ball back and forth for 90 minutes and occasionally something interesting happens. I especially like it when the players collapse in agony whenever someone happens to barely touch them. Yep, real tough-guy sport. :laugh: Give me some Australian Rules Football any day. One thing I will say is that the 'make-out' sessions are MUCH better in soccer! All I could think was: well this looks like rugby to me, only much more boring and with more show. So no, didn't like it :).
