What does it even mean? I don't understand it.

Seriously, you can't understand that window?

To be honest, what is there to add that isn't already explained in the picture?

Your backpack is full. You have an item waiting to go into it. It can't, because it's full. Discard it, or make space for it.

Yes, but every time it appears (practically every time I die), I have to click Discard, OK then Close. It's frustrating.

There's nothing you can do as far as I know, although you might want to try the item stacking bug if you're adverse to crafting your duplicates. Repeatedly drag an item up from one slot onto another until one disappears.

If you're stuck ingame, kill hl2.exe and reload TF2, then craft some items to make space.

That's what I'm saying though, I have NO idea what crafting is.

Does the same item appear every time?

If not, I suspect a queue of items may have built up (if that's possible).

If so, I'd clear some space, let it come through, and see if you get it again in future.

In the meantime, I suggest you still just need to clear a few spaces so you don't get annoyed by it as much.

You've managed to be playing TF2 this long, and don't know about crafting? It's been in for a while.

I just want to play, but Valve don't seem to have added a "stop this annoying screen from constnatly appearing" tickbox :p

I'll look into that link.

EDIT: Seems kinda complicated. Where is the fun in all that...? lol

It doesn't explain what Fabricate Class Token, Fabricate Slot Token, Rebuild Class Token or Rebuild Slot Token mean, and why a player would want to make these things.

Crafting is essentially there as a metagame in many ways, it allows you to use your duplicate items to create other items or the cosmetic hats everyone talks about.

If you're not interested in the item system, you can just discard the item when "backpack full" screen comes up, then go and discard any duplicates at the backpack page. If you discard any other items that drop for you in the future, you shouldn't have a problem.

I'll watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wE6M_q7SVoQ&fmt=22 and try to understand it before I get annoyed and just delete everything I have :p

Crafting 101:

1- Go in Crafting and put 2 identical weapons or 2 weapons from the same class. Craft it.

2- This will make a Scrap Metal

3- Repeat.

4- Put 3 Scrap to make 1 Reclaimed Metal.

5- Repeat

6- 3 Reclaimed for 1 Refined

And Final STEP :o

7- 3 Refined = 1 brand new hat.

Basically, you will craft 54 weapons for 1 hat.

You can craft a hat for a specific class by adding 1 more refined and 1 class token.

Oh, I get it.

How pointless is this? Or do I just misunderstand? Seems like they're trying to add grinding to TF2 :p

Gameplay-wise it's pointless, but if you play TF2 alot Hats act as a form of prestige / customisation and so on.

Heck, if you don't want your dupe items you should give them to me when item trading (hopefully) comes out this month. Not that I don't already have enough hats as it is. :p
