She's pretty hot  but she will probably beat the crap out of me for saying it! :p

She's probably fighting Cat Zingano (left) on her next outing. She's a pretty strong woman and can possibly beat Tate on the feet.

oh right? I would love to see Carano back but its never going to happen

Not going to happen for several reasons:

1. She's a movie star now (albeit a B-movie star but still a star).

2. There is no 145lb division in the UFC, only viable promotion to make money in is Invicta FC.

3. She currently can't make 145lb unless she cuts off a leg. Or an arm.

4. (Minor reason) She has a Muay Thai centric approach and hasn't evolved her game since getting smashed into bits by Chris Santos. Marloes Coenen would probably break her in half.

Ronda Rousey could be going into acting?

Mixed martial artist star and judo Olympic medalist Ronda Rousey has signed with WME.

Rousey was the first female fighter to join the UFC, becoming its first champion in the bantamweight category. As a judoka, she has won every fight in the first round by armbar, a fighting technique, and last year gained infamy when she broke an opponent?s arm.

Rousey became the first American woman to win an Olympic medal in Judo, capturing bronze at the Summer Games in Beijing.

This past Saturday, Rousey, who is undefeated, defended her belt and won the UFC's first women's bout, beating Liz Carmouche in the first round of their bantamweight title fight at UFC 157.

While male fighters and athletes have a long tradition of crossing over from sport to screen, women are less known for making the transition. Gina Carano, another MMA fighter, famously segued into acting when she starred in the 2012 Steven Soderbergh action film Haywire. She is now set to appear in Fast & Furious 6.

Mark Hunt vs Junior dos Santos set for UFC 160

This is going to be amazing :woot:

That sure is a great match up, but if Hunt is to stand any slight chance of a victory, he's definitely going to have to lose some bulk and strengthen that cardio against someone like dos Santos. Still it's good to see him get a fight against one of the top guys because he is more than just a mid ranker in the HW division.

Mark Hunt get better cardio? That's not going to happen. He's improved his ground game but that's as far as he'll go. Maybe he'll be able to go 2 rounds, but never a 3 round fight just because he knows, in his heart, that he can knock the block off of anyone. As for his standing in the division, it's currently one of the shallowest divisions in the UFC (and everywhere else) so he's in the Top 15 by default. It's the Mike Russow story again, but Hunt has a better toolbox and could possibly rise higher. But JDS is just too much.

This is clearly fight made just for the fans. Hunt has the power to cause an upset if he lands flush but JDS will certainly open on as a 2 to 1 favorite at least. And despite Hunt's solid chin, not even him can just walk through JDS' punches, not many of them at least. A furious 1 round slugfest or a 3 round beatdown, I would be happy with both outcomes.

In a move set to make history, The Ultimate Fighting Championship? (UFC?) announced Saturday evening that it will feature women as coaches on the 18th season of The Ultimate Fighter?, its long-running reality series. Newly minted UFC bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey, will coach opposite the winner, and eventual title contender, of a fight between Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano set for The Ultimate Fighter Finale on April 13 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Earlier this year, the UFC announced Rousey as the first-ever female fighter signed to the organization. She cemented her position as UFC champion and baddest woman on the planet with an impressive win against Liz Carmouche at UFC? 157 in Anaheim, Calif.

On April 13, former Strikeforce bantamweight women?s champion Miesha Tate will square-off against highly touted, undefeated contender Cat Zingano in the second women?s bout in UFC history. The winner will ultimately join Rousey as coach to the newest class of bantamweights ? living and training together ? vying for the title of The Ultimate Fighter and a six?figure contract with the UFC.

Tryouts for season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter will take place on Monday, April 15 in Las Vegas, Nev. All TUF? 18 candidates must be at least 21 years old, have the legal ability to live & work in the United States, and have a minimum of three professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fights ? holding a winning record (with verifiable records).

Tryout details will be released on Monday, March 18. TUF 18 is expected to debut in the fall of 2013.

Meanwhile, tickets for season 17?s The Ultimate Fighter? Finale are on-sale now. To purchase tickets to the April 13th event at Mandalay Bay Events Center, or for more information, visit the Mandalay Bay Events Center Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations, www.ticketmaster.com, or charge-by-phone at 800.745.3000.

Catch all new episodes of this season of The Ultimate Fighter 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Here is the application:

"2. All applicants MUST have a WINNING RECORD of at least 3 PROFESSIONAL MMA fights. All records will be verified on sherdog.com and mixedmartialarts.com. If we cannot verify your record on either of these sites you will NOT be considered."

This cuts down the women's BW pool by a lot. I would like to see Veronica Rothenhausler in the house but she's just made her pro debut after a 3-0 amateur "career".

The TUF 16 Finale was an amazing show, the total opposite of the TUF season. Seeing how this season has been quite good, I really hope the Finale delivers. Still, there are some good fights on Facebook. Hall is a clear favorite for the win.

What a great event. Tate vs Zingano was an amazing fight. Hall was a victim of believing his own hype. He went out there emulating Anderson Silva but without the skills and development to close the deal. Kelvin just worked hard and did everything he could to get the win. Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

UFC fighter Chael Sonnen tells TMZ that he wants to buy WWE when he retires from MMA fighting. Chael's rep told TMZ that he's not joking and has already met with "bigwig friends in the investment world to enact his takeover."

A WWE rep told TMZ:

"We are a publicly traded company, so [Chael is] more than welcome to purchase shares of WWE stock and become one of our valued shareholders."
