Also in February, just before UFC 170 is this beauty of a card

Only the top 3 fights matter and it's on Fight Pass.

Lyoto Machida vs. Gegard Mousasi (Winner gets next MW title shot)

Ronaldo Souza vs. Francis Carmont (Winner is on his way to being #1 MW contender)
Erick Silva vs. Takenori Sato (Erick Silva's Hype Train trying to get back on track).

The game looks incredible!!

Machida/Mousasi should be a hell of a fight :| Hope Mousasi has decided to start actually taking MMA seriously, cant even imagine how good he'd be now if he hadnt had such a laid back attitude

The same could be said about Machida's insistence on counter-striking that causes him to lose fights. That's just Mousasi's shtick. He has had some bad luck when choosing promotions to fight in with Dream and Strikeforce keeping him on the shelf. Probably robbed him of a great(er) MMA career but it's not too late. He sometimes lacks clutch ability. That's why he holds a draw against a terribly gassed and weak Keith Jardine. He'll have to get his groove on or MW Machida is going to kick him into oblivion and beyond.

Wow... that event was absolutely terrible. The Erick Silva fight was a total squash match. Ridiculous. Jacar? wet blanketing Francis "The Wet Blanket" Carmont was also ludicrously bad.

Sara McMann has a ridiculous physique :| Pale as a ghost but fit as ####.

What does her being pale have to do with anything?

Yeah, she has a shot. I really hate Rousey as a person, but definitely cannot discredit her abilities. She is the best so far...

It's a matter of fact? She could pair up with Peggy Morgan and form the MMA Pale Force.

She'll have to use her wrestling to keep it standing. If she tries to use takedowns on Ronda, she'll get Tate'd in a hurry

Two bad stoppages by Herb Dean, a really late stoppage and an early stoppage in a title fight.

Yeh one way too early and the other way too late.. Apart from that not a bad night of fights, really wanted to see Maia school Mcdonald but we cant have it all..

Roll on the next 2 weekends :)

Herb Dean went from "best in the business" to Mazzagati levels of incompetence in the blink of an eye. That was awful. :|  Yamazaki also cost Robert Whittaker the possibility of remembering his children's names in the future.

McDonald looked pretty terrible in that fight. Technically sound but didn't have a fighting spirit. Maia was totally dead and gone and Rory just couldn't pull the goddamn trigger. "The animal is back" Yeah, right  Where, oh where, have we seen something like this before?

Joe Rogan trying to sell the stoppage was pretty cringe worthy as well. That and lauding DC's performance as "best we've ever seen". Against a 4-0 tomato can crusher? Are you serious? It's a disgrace that he took more than 60 seconds to complete that squash match.

UFC matches Bellator offer for Gilbert Melendez, who will coach TUF 20 against Anthony Pettis

OH IT'S A GLORIOUS MORNING TODAY! THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME

The free market at work. Dana may have been at odds with Melendez' management but there was no way in hell he was letting him walk into Bellator. Melendez rolled his dice, stood by his guns, and got a MASSIVE contract in return. He gets garanteed PPV points, regardless of card position, and they kick in at a way lower buyrate than anyone else. Combine that with TUF and a title shot and he's making BANK for 2014.

He was clearly told to sell the living ###### out of Cummings before the fight, didnt work - He looked pretty scrappy, and to even suggest that win was of any worth  to DC is an absolute joke, embarrassing.
