Unfortunately this fight will most likely never happen.

Conor McGregor: Arrest warrant issued for Irishman after violent altercation at UFC 223 press day, says Dana White

Dana White tells TMZ Sports there's a warrant out for Conor McGregor's arrest after he and his entourage attacked a bus with UFC fighters at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

However, we have not confirmed that with the NYPD just yet.

According to Dana, law enforcement has told Conor his plane cannot take off from New York and leave the state.

McGregor has been instructed to turn himself into authorities as soon as possible ... and multiple people involved in the incident have vocalized that they plan on suing the Irishman.

What a moron.

I'm reading conflicting things. Some people are saying they spoke with the NYPD and they are saying no warrant has been issued.

They definitely want to talk to him though.

Either way it was stupid move. Even more stupid considering he was being stripped of his one remaining title this weekend.

Wasn't it essentially his response to being stripped of the title? Either way, his status as one of the biggest ###### in MMA is well and truly secured now.

I can't find it now but I read earlier that he did this because the guy attacked someone in his camp. Like an actual physical confrontation.

######## hell, it's been utter madness. Conor McGregor's actions caused three fights to be pulled from the UFC 223 card, and now the main event's off as well!

Damage report:

  • Alex Caceres vs. Artem Lobov - Lobov removed from the card due to being in McGregor's gang that stormed the press event yesterday.
  • Ray Borg vs. Brandon Moreno - Shards of glass from the bus window McGregor broke by throwing a dolly through it hit Borg's eyes and he now has trouble opening them.
  • Michael Chiesa vs. Anthony Pettis - Multiple cuts to Chiesa's face due to shards of glass from the broken window.
  • Main Event for the UFC Featherweight Championship: Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Max Holloway - Holloway declared medically unfit due to unsafe weight cutting (this was after both fighters failed to make weight, too, although Khabib eventually just got in under the limit).

The main event now looks like it's gonna be Khabib vs. Pettis.

Nope, it's now Khabib vs. Al Iaquinta at a silly 155.2lb catchweight with only Khabib able to win the lightweight title.

Even that's changed now (sort of): http://mmajunkie.com/2018/04/dana-white-declares-khabib-nurmagomedov-vs-al-iaquinta-lightweight-title-ufc-223

The New York State Athletic Commission doesn’t consider Saturday’s UFC 223 headliner an official lightweight title bout. But UFC President Dana White is calling it one anyway.

White today told reporters that Al Iaquinta (13-3-1 MMA, 8-2 UFC) will be eligible to fight for the undisputed title on Saturday against Khabib Nurmagomedov (25-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) , despite announcements to the contrary

[...]

Iaquinta’s official weight is 155.2, making him ineligible to win the title under the NYSAC’s statutes.

I just checked the odds: Iaquinta's a 7/1 underdog. Anyone feeling lucky?

That definitely didn't age well.

So UFC #229...

Yeah, nice to see them take a page out of WWE's book and end on a brawl; it's usually the other way around. 😛 Also nice to see Conor McGregor get shut up, although Khabib royally screwed up straight after; probably gonna get stripped of the title now. :/

While we're reviving this thread, I've gotta mention Bellator 206; memorable over here in the UK, but for the wrong reasons. Too many fights + delays meant by the time Gegard Mousasi and Rory MacDonald finally made their way out for the main event, it was 6am our time, and that's when the watershed ends here, so Channel 5 cut the transmission and immediately went to...

Conor dropped the charges against the three guys who attacked him afterwards.

That definitely came as a surprise. I only just found a good video showing what happened...
