Rua vs Evans for the title is rumored. There is no way that Tito would headline a show with 4 losses in a row and notice that this is Rogerio Nogueira, not Rodrigo. Tito is going to get some brain damage.

yeah I am wondering why Tito is still around, suppose he's still a draw somewhere

I dont understand this fight, Tito has pretty much lost his last 5, you cant really count a draw as a win, and Rogerio has been on a mission up to his last fight.. Maybe Ortiz getting thrown in at the deep end so White can see him get annihalated one last time?

It's again the smart play here. If Tito bounces back with a decisive win, he regains some status in the LHW division that is desperately needing fights. If he loses, Minotouro gets some much needed cred to make a run for contendership or establish himself as gatekeeper. Also Tito loses all leverage in negotiating a deal with another organization coming in with a 5 fight lose streak. Well... probably Strikeforce will hire him and after he loses his first fight he will get a title shot courtesy of the Bizarro MMA rules of contendership that Strikeforce uses.

Rumor has it that Chael Sonnen will fight Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 128 (just a few days after his suspension ends). Chael bested the best MW in the world for 4 rounds. Akiyama couldn't even beat Bisping. He is going to get smashed in the face for 3 rounds straight.

The only advantage Akiyama has is his strength, he isnt a great deal bigger than Sonnen, we will see whether he can finish him though..

Who? Chael? He's built for the decision. There is no way in hell that Akiyama can beat him. He couldn't even rush Bisping after losing 2 rounds.

Yeah totally, but it doesnt make for a very exciting fight really.. Unless Akiyama has exceeded Anderson Silva's level since his last fight its pretty much a win for Sonnen already..

The one were he lost to Bisping even with victory at his reach? Yeah, that will happen.

Seems the Sonnen/Akiyama fight is off, check this out!!

Following money laundering conviction, Chael Sonnen suspended by UFC

Chael Sonnen's problems continue to mount.

The oft-controversial middleweight on Monday plead guilty to federal charges of money laundering, and today he's been suspended by the UFC,

The news was first reported by TMZ.com, and MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) subsequently confirmed the suspension with a source close to the fighter.

"Chael Sonnen has gone through a lot in the last few months, and we think it's important for him to focus on getting his personal life together before focusing on his career in the UFC," UFC president Dana White told TMZ.com.

MMAjunkie.com was not immediately able to reach White for comment.

On Monday, MMAjunkie.com reported that Sonnen had been targeted for a UFC 128 matchup with Yoshihiro Akiyama. That bout is now apparently on hold, as TMZ.com reports Sonnen's contract "has been temporarily frozen."

The length of Sonnen's suspension has yet to be revealed.

Sonnen was charged with money laundering after taking part in a scheme to illegally net more than $69,000 in loan proceeds through the submission of a falsified repair order.

As part of his plea deal, Sonnen agreed to give up his realtor's license and pay a $10,000 fine, and the U.S. District Attorney's office is said to be seeking a two-year probation. Sonnen's official sentencing is set for March.

Sonnen is also currently serving a sentence of another sort, a suspension handed out by the California State Athletic Commission for elevated levels of testosterone following his fight-of-the-year candidate at UFC 117 with middleweight champion Anderson Silva. He was unsuccessful in appealing the punishment this past month at a CSAC hearing in Sacramento, Calif., though the commission voted to reduce his suspension from one year to six months while also issuing a $2,500 fine.

I guess I'm different from everyone else. I love his **** talking. That's hilarious.

It's also why I like Frank Mir.

it works well in wrestling but in mma its a bit out there...I mean if you can back it up then awesome but he...didn't
