The Xbox 360 version of Fallout: New Vegas is getting a new mission pack on Dec. 21 called Dead Money, Bethesda said today.

The 800 Microsoft point pack has players working alongside three other captured wastelanders to recover the treasure of the Sierra Madre Casino. The download add-on includes new terrain, foes and choices, according to the Bethesda Softworks press release.

"We're pleased to give fans a chance to expand their experience in Fallout: New Vegas this December with Dead Money," said Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing for Bethesda Softworks. "The release of Dead Money illustrates our commitment to creating entertaining add-on content for players to enjoy in already massive games like Fallout: New Vegas."

I didn't bought or played Vegas for the reason that I'm not ready to pay for a game at full price which should?ve been an expansion in the first place, it's a same engine running the mediocre story and they have audacity to charge a full game price.

And now this, you're playing for an expansion (800 Microsoft Points) for an expansion which should?ve been at 1600 Microsoft Points max.

  • 2 weeks later...

Theres no way i'll even consider dishing out for this untill i can play my saves again.

Nice to see, as usual, that Bethesda are milking the money cow and not actually fixing more important things in the game.

I'll buy it for the increase of the level cap but I think they should be working on the bugs first than worrying about milking some cash with DLCs within 2 months of the game's release.

I dont think it's even worth it for the cap increase. i put 50 hours effort into a character only to have the save file corrupt on me, until they fix that problem theres no point increasing the cap.

I got lucky with the 360 version and have not had corrupted saves but I have stopped playing it on 360 until they release the patch. Thankfully I also have the PC version. I agree though, they should make fixing the corrupted save issues absolute top priority and have that patch out before they even think of increasing the level cap.

It depends on how corrupted the save is.

I had one where the game crashed as I went into a building, when I loaded the save I had all my skills and current quests, but I was right outside of Vault 101 in my underwear (no items at all).

What happens when you get a corrupt save? Does the game started just not load with an error, or does the save just disappear?

I get an error when trying to LOAD a game after completing the "Come Fly Away" quest. The error says something about not being able to find the DLC components. If I try to CONTINUE a game, the XBOX just locks up.

The quest doesnt stop you from going further in the game and is probably why support is sitting on their asses and have not released a fix for the 360 yet.
