So dual wielding is pretty easy to play as. Finally got 100 blacksmithing, so I just made some heavy dragon armor, 2 deadric blades that do 60+ damage, and use elemental fury. Dragons and anything else will die within 5 seconds or less. It takes things forever to kill me, even if they are throwing magic. But enjoying the total power my guy is having compared to my mage character, which is constantly having to run away from certain fights lol.

I finally got this and it's probably one of the best games I have ever played. :D

There are a few annoyances like the weird glitchy shadows that shift every few seconds but hopefully a patch will fix things like that.

I've been playing it 3rd person view mostly, which makes it a bit harder to select things on screen. In first person view it just feels like my face is smashed up against the screen, not sure how to describe it. Just feels too close and confined. Maybe changing the FOV would help.

Thats been my experience as well on PC. Doesn't feel that way with 360 though. So far, just the FOV on the PC version needs some changing for me.

Just my input: on 1680x1050, I believe an FOV of 80 is the best. The sides start to stretch a bit, but not too much to be noticeable unless you're looking for it. Anything higher than that and the distortion tends to bother me.

Dawnbreaker is better in my opinion. It's the reward of a daedric shrine. the most I will tell you is that it's on the northern part of the map, in the mountains.

I am pretty ****ed because I lost Chillrend to a glitch when I put it on display in my house.

I read online that Chillrend should inflict 100 damage when upgraded to legendary and 30 points of frost damage.

Mine does 72 damage and 31 points of frost damage. I'm level 40 now, was level 36 or 37 when I got Chillrend.

Any idea what's wrong with it? :(

Damage is based on your one hand weapon skill too. Is yours at 100?

Be careful with the 1.2 patch! Been following on Bethsoft, 1.2 is causing some major game-breaking issues (elemental resistance removed is a big one).

I would just stay clear for now, if you can.

Yes, stay away from the newest patch. Bethesda has seriously shown little to no effort in this.

PS3 got the patch first. They said it would improve framerate issues, which it doesn't at all. Game still runs like a slideshow after 2+ hours of playing. It removes magic resist, so mages and dragons can now tear anyone apart quickly. Also, they cut the drawdistance down on the ps3 with this update, so popin's are becoming a bigger issue. They have also done something with how textures are rendered. Upon first starting up the game after the patch, I immediately noticed it. During the load screen, there was the alchemy table spinning, but it was in low res texture, like what you were seeing with the 360 and a full install. This continued into playing the game, were some textures just refused to load, leaving this horrible ugly mess in its place.

I hope they fix these issues asap, as it has now started to really annoy and ruin my experience. Fix or refund, that's where I am at now.

Anyone else wish they had some sort of way other than cheating to re-roll perks. Like a really long quest or something to prevent people from abusing it?

I'm thinking perks shouldn't be invested in until you have reached 50. Doesn't seem like they are all really needed to complete the game. They are just that, perks.

With the perks I have at the moment, my guy just feels OPed. I'm thinking about starting another game, and not investing into perks until I am a long ways through the game.

But I agree, they should have some way to reset the points.

But until they fix all the PS3 issues, I may be staying away from this all together for the mean time.

Anyone know on the Xbox whether you can reject the 1.2 update or if it's mandatory?

Can you not reject any patchs for games on xbox? I know on PS3, it ask if you want to update, and if you do, you can go into the actual folder and delete the update out as well. Is the 360 much different from that?

Been a while since I downloaded a patch for a game on the xbox, but if memory serves correctly, xbox live will only allow you to use the most recent version. The problem with that is you need to sign into xbox live for your save games.

So am wondering if you can still sign into xbox live and play the game without accepting the patch, anyone know?

You can reject the update and it just disconnects you from LIVE. Which is fine, since Skyrim is SP anyway. You'll still get the notice next time you play but just rinse and repeat.
