[Official] CR-48 ChromeOS Laptop Shipment-Tracking

Its just another Netbook, Everyone in the west just wants to get their hands on something new. All that ******** about "testing" them they want to just say "hey look what I got from Google, Arent I good/better than you please define me define me"

Not everyone wants one, plenty of people don't want one because they have no need for ChromeOS.

Most people want one so they can play with it, plus it free hardware! Why not try to win one?

"Everyone in the west..." I'm guessing you don't live in the US and your just mad you don't have a chance at getting one?

You seem kinda aggravated over "just another netbook"... :/

I have to agree with you there. Hell I know lots of ITs that are trying everything they can to get one to test. Hell I will even admit that I have signed myself up multiple times so I have a chance to get one or two to test for my clients.

I'd like to know how many just want it because it's free and won't provide ANY feedback on it.

I love playing with/testing new hardware/software and would like to get one to test out, but I'm not spazzing out because the one(s) coming to my zip code isn't mine. I'll either get one or not.

So I signed up about two days ago, and just now realized I forgot to add my apartment number.

I checked the tracker, and there are two being sent to my ZIP, is there anyway I can check the address?

I have no idea what the reference number or tracking number for those are. Is there anyway to find out?

Is there any way I can fix it? Or should I just try applying again...

IMO just apply again, AFAIK there is no harm in applying more then once.

I applied once on the basic and advance form.

I suspect that this is partially a test as to whether or not they can make money from Verizon by giving away free netbooks with a 3G teaser (free 100MB a month??).

I need at least 100mb per hour. This sucks big beach balls!

That is why they offer the ability to pay for additional GB. :)

If you expect everything for free, well, then you live in a sad little world my friend. :(

I'm sure verizon can provide us with free 3g without losing a penny

You can always connect via wifi and use the 3g when necessary ;)

yeah that's what i'll have to do.

comcast has a lot of hotspots around my area so i'll just take advantage of that.

If you regularly receive packages by UPS, then the driver probably knows which apartment number belongs to which resident. If not, it is likely that he will simply leave the package at the apartment complex office. That's what has happened to me several times when I lived in apartments.

Dude, Verizon's normal netbook data plan that you would pay $35-40 a month for is only 200MB a month (if I remember correctly from a month ago when I was shopping for a 3G netbook), and you are getting half of that for free if you get selected for this. Talk about arrogant whining!!!

edit: Looks like they have changed their netbook plans, they now only offer a $50 a month plan to start with 5GB per month.

Yeah... I'm just going to use my Virgin Mobile MiFi, which is $40/month unlimited.
