joey_oggie
It's "cd" not "dd" so you just type cd /d d:\fastboot\ Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/963540-windows-7-cmd-problem/#findComment-593526984 Share on other sites

mikmo
Chill out lads, obviously I don't or I wouldn't ask! :p Merry Christmas and thanks for your help. Any ideas on this problem...images attached will show the fastboot directory, I belief I'm properly 'pointed at it' in CMD. THe other image is the CMD error I'm getting. aftas
cd = change directory dir = list the directory's contents What are you trying to do ? +1 I think hes trying to make a symbolic link (as fastboot is on C, and he is pointed to D in the screenshot) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/963540-windows-7-cmd-problem/#findComment-593527084 Share on other sites

hdood
I think you probably need to read the instructions for this "fastboot" thing, because the error message you're getting is from the program, and not from Windows. Also, a quick Explorer tip. If you hold down shift and right-click in an empty area of a folder (not on a file), you'll get an open command line here option that will open a command line in that folder. Saves time having to CD there. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/963540-windows-7-cmd-problem/#findComment-593527102 Share on other sites

deadite66
i'd thoroughly read up on what your doing before attempting anything, you can quickly brick your phone if you don't. dd is a low level read/write command, it will be nasty if you don't follow guides exactly.
