These reviews....

The game is clearly far from perfect and yet it gets near perfect scores, it's just silly. Gamespy gives it 5/5 but many of the cons they list are pretty bad, I understand that its mainly a MP game but given how much was put into the SP campaign, you can't just ignore it when it comes to your final score.

I'm sure MW3 will also get a perfect score when it comes out regardless of any faults.

I think 9.0 justifies the game, given the extraordinary (from the reviews) multiplayer experience.

But 5/5 is complete BS

When you have a scoring system that only goes to 5 you don't really leave yourself much room.

I would never trust review sites anyway, better to find forums like this and see what real people say.

And just found out I have to attend a meeting Friday (launch day) at 5pm which may last a few hours.... I must have been bad in another life :(

Game looks awesome. I didn't play too much on the Beta, but from my experience it was pretty good. This will be my first Battlefield game and I'm all set with my new built computer! Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time right now so I may not get this until November. Have fun!

Wow..I've played pretty much all BF's that have been released on PC. Where have you guys been, though? :D

For me, we (me and my brother) didn't quite had the PC and I wasn't even old enough back then. Well, we had the PC but not the GPU

Only online gaming experience I had is Modern Warfare.

And now BF3 and MW 3. :D

What's "not old enough"? You make me feel old. BF2 was only released in 2005.

edit: Heh, just noticed I also registered on Neowin back in 2005 too :)

Btw, for anyone looking for instructions for the Korean VPN trick to unlock the game early:

This isn't a crack/hack or anything of the sort and doesn't circumvent any activation. It simply allows you to unlock your legally purchased copy today at 14:00 GMT (50 minutes from now). EA has stated that players will not be banned for doing this, as it doesn't violate their T&C. EU and US servers are apparently already up and running.
