I did that and now origin is stuck in a loop of updating and installing. Fantastic.

This is going to lead to me somehow having to redownload and install the entire game again, I just know it.

If you're still stuck in the loop... go into the BF3 directory.. you'll see a bf3.exe_dip_somethingorother and a bf3.par

Rename the first to bf3.exe and delete the .par... everything will be back to normal.

Doesn't matter. Like I said it would lead to me having to redownload the entire game. It's just my luck.

Thanks for the tip though.

OK, here goes the first impression of MP

First of all, as much as I was afraid of the BattleLog, it gave me an excellent impression.Jumping into the game may take more time than some normal games out their but maybe thats just because of my slow net speed. :(

There are however a few bugs that I noticed which needs to be fixed ASAP.

e.g. while playing Caspian Border, I was capturing an objective and looking towards a direction. When suddenly a guy showed up out of nowhere . There were no walls or anything else, I mean it just felt like he was 'CLOACKED' and suddenly his energy metre went empty.

BTW, I killed him :D

Same thing happened in GRAAND BAZAAR.

Talking about gameplay, I am completely new to Battlefield and this is my second ever online gaming experience after Modern Warfare and I am truly enjoying it.

Heck I don't even know what to do in some game modes and I just move around killing the enemies or getting killed.

But then again no body explaines them to me and I didn't quite got it from the EA forums or elsewhere.

But I'll learn, eventually.

About the graphics. Playing at 1600x1200 with high settings (not ultra) and the game looks terrific.

I'll visit my friend today who' playing it at ultra at 1080p to see if there is significant difference between the high and low settings.

Overall, one of the best looking games out there.

Now will you please excuse me, I have a game to play.

So, although I pre-ordered it a day before the release... I was only able to get the standard (non-limited edition) from a local EB Games store. However, I haven't opened the game yet and I plan on returning it as soon as I get my hands on the limited edition. My friend is in the same boat as me but we remain hopeful. I didn't expect EA to make a standard edition so early. :(

That's weird. Pretty sure they're still selling BC2 Limited editions. They weren't so limited... I guess they mean it this time?

Indeed. It's why I didn't expect to receive the non-limited edition. I'm hoping it's an EB Games-only thing.

what set up are you using to get 1600x1200 with high settings?

Im running a really crappy graphics card because my old one melted.

Core i5 2400 - Nvidia GT230 graphics card, I've got everything set to low and the game runs smooth but the animations are stuttering like crazy.

Is there any way of fixing it or will i have to wait till i get a replacement gpu?
