It let me install the game now, yet when I try and run the damn thing it says something about not being able to activate using the origin account provided. Using the option to re-enter the product key it complains about my PC being offline and needing to connect to the internet. It's just downloaded a bloody patch so it is connected to the internet. What a pile of crap Origin is.

If you have been receiving the "You have been kicked by the Administator" message while playing Battlefield 3 you may need to manually update your Punkbuster installation.

First, download PBSetup from here: http://battlelog-cdn...lic/pbsetup.exe [battlelog-cdn.battlefield.com]

When you start PBSetup, you will be presented with EvenBalance's license agreement. Accept the agreement to proceed.

The utility will then download information about the latest PunkBuster version for BF3. Once this is complete, you are presented with a list of the PunkBuster-enabled games that are present on your systems.

If Battlefield 3 is not in that list, you can add it:

- Click on "Add a Game"

- In the topmost dropdown box, choose "Battlefield 3"

- Click on "Add Game"

- You should now have Battlefield 3 in the list of PunkBuster-enabled games.

Finally update the PunkBuster DLLs. Click on Battlefield 3, and choose "Check for Updates". PBsetup will check if the DLLs are up-to-date; if not, the latest DLLs will be downloaded and installed. .

At this point PunkBuster is fully up to date and configured for Battlefield 3.

There ya go. :)

My order should be at work today and I got my SPECACT DLC code from Amazon through email this morning too... sweet! Won't get a chance to play it until late this evening though! :(

Finally got my warfare pack key. Only took them two hours past midnight on the 28th.

Even though the e-mail clearly states:

How does the PWP email look like? I activated BF3 via VPN on 25th and now received an email saying that BF3 Limited Edition is available + an unlock code for it, no mention of PWP. I just don't understand why would they send me a code for the whole game because it's not necessary for activation.

Played the SP last night on the PS3 - mmm not great but not a total loss.

Not finished yet as I did a bit of MP in-between but it is VERY linear and quite unexciting in the early stages. AI is not great and you are guided like a child on what to do and where to go within a very small area. Also I suspect most of it could be done without firing a shot !!!

However MP was, as expected, great. Not much teamwork in the maps last night but same as BF2 the first few days everybody wanting to rank up and find their feet.

My one gripe was the HUGE BUG in Night Shift where the screen goes white unless you look at the ground, made it very hard to finish that level and I hope they get it sorted as I want to go back through on hard at some stage.

It's separated from the BF3 LE edition key, that was sent separately in a different e-mail to me.

According to this: http://www.techspot.com/review/458-battlefield-3-performance/page5.html

I should play fine on my GTX 560 Ti (I play on a lower resolution but with everything as high as it can go), but my game hiccups every time I turn like I'm out of RAM memory. Anyone have any idea on what's the problem? If I were to set everything on high it would still hiccup but less often compared to ultra.

Specs:

i7-950

4GB of RAM

OCZ Vertex 2

GTX 560 Ti

3.5GB/4GB in use while playing Battlefield 3.

Just reached the flight mission in SP.

Graphically this game is the best I've ever played. The sound effects are unreal - you can almost feel the concussion of explosions and the gunfire sounds very realistic (from what I've heard on the Military Channel anyway :p). Gunplay feels gun and I like how quickly you can die. The lighting is really good too but I get the feeling the designers have overused the "dirty window" effect on the game :o

Some of the objectives are a bit wishy washy though - you're often left not quite sure what you're meant to do.

My rig (i7 920 oc'd to 3.50Ghz, Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti OC & 12GB ram) is holding up well - auto-detected at "High" and I'm getting solid 50-60fps+ in all areas. I had to update my Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti OC BIOS though as it was CTD'ing often. BIOS update fixed it nicely.

Overall I'm impressed so far but I've yet to play MP (won't be doing that til tonight for a good vodka-soaked session) so we'll see how my fps holds up there.

Why'd nobody tell me the game launches via browser? I've been assuming I was being sent to battlelog because the game was unavailable and just now realised I'm gonna have to set IE 32-bit as my default browser in order to play a bloody game :x

Well you should learn to read, it was mentionned plenty of times. And btw, Battlelog works great, much better than integrated server browser. I was against the idea at the beginning but all of that changed.
