Has anybody recently tried the weekly builds? Tons of cool new features as well as the start of joining singleplayer and multiplayer together.

You know, I bought the game when it was in alpha for like, $8 and to this day I still haven't played more than 5 minutes of it, literally. I just don't get into it when I play it. Plus, I've tried to make snow or rain biomes whenever I play, and I still haven't seen falling snow or rain yet (not a big deal, but I'd like to see it lol)

Also, I have no clue how to build stuff in it, so if I do play survival mode, I'm gonna get wrecked by stuff pretty quick I'd imagine.

I don't like how a new version of Minecraft will make all modifications and worlds obsolete. Mods will not work and new features will sometimes not pop up at all in your current world. Minecraft is poorly programmed and the lack of a proper API for modifications makes compatability issues a nightmare.

Most mods often fall way behind because the code in Minecraft and the mods are not flexible at all.

Minecraft still feels very much lite an open beta. It should be rewritten from scratch in C/C++ and use SDL or something for cross platform programming.
