I love the fact he had the Biebs holding his belts. That was a pretty damn funny thing to do.

I thought Cotto would have done better honestly. I think that unfortunately just kind of proves Mayweather is that good.

Either he fights Pacquiao and not only give the people what they want, but once and for all prove if he is indeed the best fighter of his time as he claims, or he should just retire now, with a blemish forever on his record. There really is nothing left for him to do at this point then either of the above.

The reason why Floyd doesn't fight Pacquiao is that he would have to buy a separate house just for all the belts he would then have. In a more serious note, certain boxing associations wouldn't be too keen on the idea of just one guy, very close to retiring, holding all the goddamn belts for 20 different weightclasses.

The Telegraph reports that UK heavyweights Dereck ?Del Boy? Chisora and former WBA champion David Haye will meet in the ring on July 14 at Upton Park, London, home of the West Ham soccer team.

According to the report, the fight, which will be announced at a press conference tomorrow, will be jointly promoted by Frank Warren?s BoxNation and German promotional outfit Sauerland Event.

The fight will go ahead with or without the blessing of the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC), an organization whose entire reason for existing may take a permanent hit if they fail to sanction Haye vs Chisora.

Mayweather is terrified of Pacquiao. If those 2 fought, the 35 million he got for this fight will be a drop in the bucket.

People keep saying that but I don't think there's really any truth to it. He's a grown man and a talented boxer in his own right, one of the P4P greats. Why should he fear Pacquiao over every other tough opponent that he's faced? Mayweather was negotating with Pacquiao's camp in February before getting denied and fighting Cotto. It would be the ideal fight for him to retire on.

It's just a money and management issue. Either guys wins the fight, you have someone who holds more than a dozen belts and who's pretty close to retirement, leaving all of those belts ripe for the taking. So they want to make sure the money is worth the risk they're taking with their fighter in a PPV that would break records.

Personally, I don't care who wins that fight. Either way, the real loser is British boxing. Their press conference brawl already damaged our reputation, and now this will only make things worse. The rising stars of British boxing (like Kell Brook, George Groves, Kid Galahad, etc.) will have to work even harder to get recognised by the rest of the world.

On another note: Amir Khan's Golden Boy Promotions write to IBF and the WBA to request annullation of Lamont Peterson fight - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/boxing/9262893/Amir-Khans-Golden-Boy-Promotions-write-to-IBF-and-the-WBA-to-request-annullation-of-Lamont-Peterson-fight.html

And so they should. Peterson failed multiple drugs tests, and it seems he was taking performance-enhancing drugs up to a month before the fight, so he should be stripped of both titles and their fight declared a no-contest. Or at the very least, strip him of the titles, and have Khan fight for them against whoever he's got lined up in July.

it seems though Frank Warren wants to continue pressing for the match to go ahead which could result in his license being taken

Along with literally everyone else associated with the fight... http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012/may/09/bboc-david-haye-dereck-chisora
