can't order from newegg...outside the US

Recommended Posts

I tried to purchase from Newegg but it declined my credit card as they don't accept payments from non-US banks (weird, why??). I have an address in the US to ship to, but that address in different than my billing address (duh!), so Paypal is out of the question.

Any suggestions?

Umm, buy from a different store? Newegg is unfriendly to non-US consumers.

any alternatives?

I tried several, uk and canadian but it's whether they are far more expensive or don't have a variety of choices as newegg.

You get load money on American prepaid debit card then purchase it with that?

Are you in US? If so, you can go to any grocery store that they have prepaid cards such as mastercard, visa, greendot, etc.. Load them with your cash. If you are not in US, then you find someone you trust in US and have him/her to get prepaid card for you and send it to you.

Otherwise, try TigerDirect instead of Newegg.

An option -- PM me your address, I'll buy it and and have it shipped to your US-based address. I'll send you an invoice via PayPal for whatever Newegg charged me, and just pay the invoice once you receive the item :]

Obviously the only question in this is.. do you want me to know your address? Well I live in Florida, so unless I'm motivated in stalking a total stranger.. possibility really.. jk. Anyways, just send me a PM if your interested and/or reply here.

Note: If you skip out on the bill on delivery I'll publicly make insults to you / tarnish your name in this thread ;)

For some reason, I thought that "plushie" doll was apart of your post, as if that was what you were buying. So please disregard my message, as I'm not that trusting for anything more then $40 lol :p

TigerDirect does not seem to have everything, any other reliable sites?

Then, try Amazon.com. Amazon.com is a huge online retailer. Are you shopping for computers, parts, furniture, or what?

Please be more specific so we give you the right website for you so you will be able to order from wherever you are.

Paypal doen't care about shipping address being different than billing address as it can be a gift.

you are wrong. i am non us and i ordered a few items from them and they were friendly. on one it showed they had stock, but then got an email back a few days later saying that my money was to be put back in the bank within 24hrs and sure enough(because the item was on back order, which it did not say), it was. anyways if you are non us then newegg.ca is what you want. for u.s.a customers then newegg.com is what you want.

Correct, although he's trying to use a non-US Paypal account as a method of payment on Newegg. The problem is that Newegg doesn't accept payment outside of the US, or in the case of newegg.ca, outside of Canada.. eh.

But newegg does. If I proceed with PayPal, and my billing address is in Kuwait and shipping is New York, the stuff will be shipped to the address registered with PayPal (billing)?

I want to order a couple of rams, hdd and SD card.

It's most likely becuse your billing address and shipping address is not the same. To much CC fraud these days and businesses get burned. Call them and they will be happy to make you understand whatever the problem is. I think they take paypal?

I talked to an agent from Newegg and Tigerdirect and both said they DON'T accept international credit cards. I tried to explain my situation but they had no solution or any alternatives. One solution, as someone mentioned above is to get a prepaid card and charge it up with money. But I can't do that since I'm not in the US.

So I guess I'm left with Amazon? Let me try that...

No matter where you are, you can get an US prepaid card from someone and you can order anything on an online retailer's website and you use both US billing and US shipping on order form.

Amazon.com has warehouses/centers around the world. Even they have 3rd party sellers. You shouldn't have any problems with them.

It probably won't work; I tried ordering from them a couple years ago, and they said they won't allow orders from my IP address here in Bulgaria. Even though my card and shipping address were in the States and I've been a long time customer.
