much better than the previous one, but is it supposed to get on Firefox 9? Can't wait then!

There is a little trick to do that BetaAddict.Hold ctrl before you start draging the tab and you can drop it on bookmark as before.I think this way is working because it is not actually moving the tab,but copying it.You must use the same method if you want to move a tab from one window to another window.

I just tested this in ff9 nightly and it does it there too. Seems related to the new tab tearing animations.

Yes, that is what is concluded as well because the torn tab is not interacting with the bookmark toolbar at all. They probably either haven't implement that part of the code yet or could be a bug itself. Either way, it needs to get sorted out before FF8 is released as it would otherwise be considered as removing a very useful feature.

Dude, you are awesome sauce. For the time being, this will work just fine as is much easier than doing Ctrl+D, choosing folder, and clicking done.

I got an add-on question. You know how sometimes you find links on a page, but they don't have the correct html code to make them clickable links? You can't go to the site unless you copy and paste them. Well, there is an add-on that allows you to double click on the link and it will load it. I know about that. It's a pretty cool add-on called Text Link.

My question is, is there any add-on that is similar to Text Link, but actually underlines the non-clickable links to make it into a link you can just single click? Because sometimes add-ons like Text Link don't always work either at all, or not on the first try. It would be nice to have one that does what I explained. Does it exist?

Linkification Extension will do that.

I just found and was installing Linkification when I saw your post. That is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!! I can't believe I used Text Link all this time when there was a much better option available. A 5 star, must have add-on!! It's even working with Aurora 8.0a2!

Be aware that when I used linkification auto linking feature it really slowed down sites which is why I preferred text link's method. I don't know if that's still an issue or not anymore because I've used it during the Fx3 era.

Convenience almost always has a price.

you can always select the URL and then right click and it has the "open link in...." options.....

That doesn't work with plain-text, non-clickable links in Firefox though, does it?

(FWIW: The feature is built-in to Chrome.)

In the Aurora builds, I'm having a problem checking for add-on updates. It just says "Updating add-ons", but nothing is happening. Is this a bug?

if your pretty sure your updates are fine and they get disabled just add in the line "extensions.checkCompatibility.8.0a" (NEW > BOOLEAN) and set to FALSE. then your addons/extensions should work since it disables the built in check of Firefox and all extensions will attempt to work anyways.

The majority of my add-ons work fine, but when I just go to check for updates, nothing happens.

@ aznkid25... have you updated your Firefox 8 yet?

goto.. 'Help > About Aurora' as it will automatically download the latest update for it by doing that. they usually have 1 update to the browser per day. current one is... "8.0a2 (2011-08-21)"

Been installing the updates daily, but the same problem still exists.

tried making a new profile?

Tried that too, but when I went to go install my add-ons, it says that some add-ons can't be installed, since the file is corrupt. This is happening with every add-on I manually try to update.

give me the addon and I'll patch it for yah and you can try it there are actually more places, in some addons to edit then the install.rdf file. you also have to look through some js files as well.
