Dye Pack Explodes in Robber's Pants

Recommended Posts

WINTER PARK, FL -- Law enforcement officials say a man was injured by an exploding dye-pack that went off in his pants' pocket shortly after he robbed a bank near Orlando.

Authorities say the robber gave a Winter Park Bank of America teller a note demanding money on Tuesday morning.

After the worker gave him an unknown amount of money, he then fled through a nearby shopping center.

When the dye-pack was activated, he tried to hide from police in a nearby restaurant, before being forced outside the businesses' doors by employees.

The restaurant's workers then chased him down and detained him in front of another establishment.

Winter Park Police arrived shortly afterwards and placed him into custody.

i don't get it? the exploding dye is in the stack of money or how does this work?

make the teller count the stack like a teller would. bill by bill. problem solved

He was robbing the place, I doubt getting the teller to ask him what denominations and counting the notes was top of his priority rather than getting the hell outta there with as much cash as possible.

They usually have a bill near the bottom of a stack of money, rigged.

It is supposed to explode at the Exit, or just outside.

It makes skin, clothes, and bills, a bright orange -- useless.

I saw this exact thing happen near Shreveport when I was a teenager....there were no cams then, but I saw it happen....the guy was caught not even a block away. I had the most ultimate laugh! 'Twas a conversation piece for years for my buds and I....he was blue, like the old intel men...quite a laugh
