So we passed 10 Million forum posts!

Recommended Posts

This is indeed a great achievement for neowin, 10 Million posts and counting. Amazing feet of commitment and innovation from the neowin team. Congratz to one and all at neowin. The support provided by the members shows how popular the forum is and a job well done by the team.

I joined neowin in late 2003, and neowin.net is the first site i visit every day to get my daily dose of tech news, information and at times help from the community for pritty much anything and everything. I cannot think of any other site on the internet that matches up to this expectation.

I am sure that I am not alone when I say that the quality of information, the platform for discussion and the design/user experience are second to none.

All the very best and I hope that this journey lasts forever.

I don't remember how long it's been, OK 02

Joined because I had some questions regarding PC hardware and this was the best place I found

Stayed because it's still the best place to get fast and accurate help regarding pretty much anything PC/Mac related

C'mon! I lurked for one week too long before registering!

I was told about Neowin in an IRC channel dedicated to Whistler/XP way back when. I think it was simply #WindowsXP on DALnet if memory serves correctly. The Whistler news and later the customization forum kept me coming back and eventually the community became so diverse but still yet connected that I almost had no choice but to stick around. Somewhere in between I decided to register. I don't post a lot, but I'm sure I've spent more time here than any on other site on the Internet.

I've been holding off subcribing for so long, I'm just glad I finally did it. It almost felt like paying off a debt . Good luck to the post-2001s in getting a tier 2!

Wow genuinely surprised (and happy) that we still have so many 01'ers even if mostly lurking.

Added a bunch more.

Congrats on 10million posts... and Neowin has been a daily routine for a long time, and I'm glad it is too, since it's the best site that I've come across that has yet been a troll fest. :p All we have to deal with is Rappy... and that is completely worth it. :D

Congrats Neowin!

Been a member since April 2002 and just passed 9 years here. Neowin is always opened in my browser, and will always be my favourite tech site.

I came in 2002 in search for news about Whistler. And I kept visiting att for the superb skinning community here. That changed drasticly with Vista sadly, but the community have always been good none the less.

Now I mostly hang out in the BPN though. This is mostly because my job keeps my busy with the more tech and support things. So after work Neowin keep me upated with the news around the world. Looking forward to Windows 8 and what this community will come up with.

Here's for 10m more!

I joined in 2001, and I'm still active, actually, I've become increasingly active of the last 2-3 years, although not as much as our resident spammers ;)

heck, I'll even tell you why I joined;)

The Windows Whistler beta.... oh, and thats the codename for Windows XP for all of you who can't remember;)

and yeah, it was concidered crap in comparison to Windows 2000 by many at it's RTM release. It was SOOO SLOW, and it was the fisherprice OS and so on. Well, I loved it then, I remember using it as my main OS as soon as the RC's hit.

Neowin was TH? number one place for your latest beta-kick and leaks :D

And whats keeping me here?

A great community, with great people (that might not always agree with each other, but hey, we are all human), a great staff and

the number one site for my tech news :D

I joined because I had a question about something... I can't remember why it was 9 years ago. I had read the forum from its inception, in fact I stumbled across it because it was the only tech site that was able to get through my high school's content filter at the time.

I stayed here because there's always something interesting to read, and occasionally I'll say something somewhat useful (hence my low post count). It's a nice place to ask a few questions about things and rant about other things when needed...

I liked the site so much that I purchased a Tier2 subscription last year.
