hi there,

install this:

http://thecleaner.synchosting.com/halo/vbruntimes.exe

or if that link doesnt work:

http://www.tnk-bootblock.co.uk/prods/downl.../vbruntimes.exe

Read the MOTD

HaloServ is down!

Just after teaming up with those nice people at http://HaloMP.com, their server has gone down, due to something going wrong at their datacentre!

This means that HaloServ V3 will no longer work.

If their server is still down by 8PM GMT, I re-release HaloServ 2.0.4 so you can still play online.

Bear with us, and accept my apologies,

cool, glad to hear that.

btw::: if you need anymore mirrors i can host a mirror for you.

thanks for the offer, but it wasnt a problem with the file, it was a problem with halomp.com being down, and they are crucial to the running of haloserv3!

i already have 2 host tho :)

version 3 should be working pretty much perfectly, apart from the 'out of memory' errors.

there will be no new releases of haloserv until Halo is on general release, and i will start coding version 4 (gamespy style application)

so sad to see v3 go, cause it worked great while it did...so here's my problem: every time i Get List, haloServ throws "Run-time error 40006: Wrong protocol or connection state for the requested transaction or request." it seems to be one of those that fixes itself Eventually, but not necessarily after a restart. thought it was the vb runtimes, but all mine are updated, and the problem didn't show up till this version. anyone know how to fix it?

Edit: when i said 'this' version, i meant currently working, not v3 (v3 never gave me the runtime exception :<)
