Nintendo showed off a number of games for its upcoming Switch console today, including Super Mario Odyssey, Sonic Mania, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Fire Emblem Warriors, among others.
Another game that the company displayed at its streamed presentation was 1-2 Switch.
1-2 Switch is a party game designed for the Nintendo Switch - as the name suggests - and relies heavily on the players' imagination. The rather strange trailer showed off various duos engaged in different activities, including fast draw in the wild west, fencing, playing table tennis, and fending off each other in magical duels, among other things.
To accomplish all of these activities, the game encourages players' to use their imagination. It can only be played using the detached Joy-Con controllers on the Nintendo Switch, and depends on motion sensors, "HD Rumble" technology and IR scanners. It was also indicated that the title does not require a screen for interaction. You can view the full trailer below:
The 1-2 Switch will be making available as a launch day title for the Nintendo Switch on March 3, 2017. It is currently unknown if it will be bundled with the hybrid console or made available as a standalone purchase.
