Five months after Google announced the release of Android Wear 2.0 - having already delayed it for several months - ASUS finally rolled out the update to the 1.63-inch model of its ZenWatch 2 last week. Now, the new version of the OS is making its way to the 1.45-inch version as well.
Google's support forums now list both ZenWatch 2 models as having received the update, along with the ZenWatch 3, which got Android Wear 2.0 earlier this month. ASUS' planned rollout of the update turned into something of a farce, as the company repeatedly delayed its arrival. On two occasions, ASUS announced its rollout, before either deleting its tweet, or saying it was "mistaken".
Google originally announced Android Wear 2.0 in May 2016, and yet there are still two other devices that haven't received the update. The Moto 360 Sport and LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE remain listed on Google's site as "watches that will receive Android Wear 2.0", but it's still unclear when the update will reach them.
