It has been exactly ten long years since the original BioShock was released, bringing us the corrupted city of Rapture to explore, and marking the beginning of the highly-acclaimed series. Celebrating the occasion, 2K is releasing a special collector's edition for those in the US, with pre-orders available now.
The BioShock 10th Anniversary Collector's Edition arrives with an 11.9-inch statue as the main feature, displaying a Big Daddy and a Little Sister posing identically to the original game's box art. The statue will also have voice clips from the duo and components that light up, and The Big Daddy's drill will even spin up just like in the games (hopefully not as deadly, though).
Alongside the statue, the collector's edition ships with a boxed copy of BioShock: The Collection, which includes the remastered versions of the entire game series, as well as a numbered certificate of authenticity.
The $200 special edition is now available for pre-purchase via the 2K Store and GameStop for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms, with a November 14 launch date. For those who prefer the regular editions of the series, 2K has also discounted BioShock: The Collection for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
In addition, 2K will be hosting a BioShock Celebration at PAX West, with details regarding the event available here.
