Since the beginning of October, there have been rumors about OnePlus and its next handset, the 5T. There have been various leaked renders but it now looks like we are getting something a bit more reliable.
According to Android Authority, the teaser image of the OnePlus 5T comes from a trusted source and gives us a glimpse of the upcoming unannounced handset. From what we can see, it looks similar to what we have seen in the past, sporting thinner bezels around the edges of the display compared to the OnePlus 5. While a majority of the specifications are unknown at this point, one thing that has been common in each of the past leaks is mention that the handset could arrive with a display measuring in at six inches with a 18:9 format and a resolution of 2160 x 1080. But, as the source points out, the image above makes it tough to verify whether this will actually happen.
While there could be an improvement in specifications from its previous offering, the OnePlus 5 was no slouch, and still isn't compared to its competitors, rocking a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and coming in with a minimum of 6GB RAM, with an option to upgrade to 8GB. Naturally, we will have to wait and see what surfaces, but with all the issues surrounding the LG V30 and Google's Pixel 2 XL, OnePlus could be poised to announce its handset at an opportune time.
