Today, Xbox Insiders on the Alpha ring are getting their first new build in almost two weeks. Unfortunately, it's not a preview of a new feature update, but for an update to version 1706, which was released last week. The build number is 15063.4083, or 1706.170719-1720.
It contains just one fix:
Store
Fixed an issue which could prevent the Store tab from appearing on the dashboard or the Store app from launching.
According to Microsoft's Brad Rossetti, this build should show up in the Preview Beta ring tomorrow, and then Preview Ring 3 and 4 on Sunday. There should also be one for Alpha ring Insiders tomorrow, and then another on Monday, all of which should still be version 1706.
Microsoft has been pushing monthly feature updates for the Xbox One ever since version 1703 was released in March. It seems like there won't be a version 1707 update for July, however, and 1708 in August wouldn't make a lot of sense given that 1709 should be the Fall Creators Update (FCU). With that in mind, one must wonder when the company will begin flighting FCU preview builds for the Xbox One family of consoles.
