Spidey's unmade third movie is already in the hands of the gaming industry.
The early bird gets the spider it would seem as Activision announce the videogame publishing rights to the Spider-Man 3 movie - which isn't due in cinemas until 2007. At this stage there are no game details but, from a movie perspective, it appears that both Tobey McGuire and Kirsten Dunst will continue their roles with Sam Raimi directing.
Naturally, Activision are cock-a-hoop with the continuation of the franchise, as zealously noted by Ron Doornink, CEO of Activision Publishing, "We expect that our upcoming Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3 video games will continue building on the success we have already experienced with the franchise. Spider-Man has proven to be one of the most popular video game properties in the world. We expect that our future titles based on the brand will continue to top consumers' most wanted lists every year."
