AdDuplex released its monthly Windows 10 usage report today, which is based on about 5,000 Microsoft Store apps that use AdDuplex SDK v.2 and higher. The data was collected on October 28.
With the release of the Windows 10 November 2019 Update right around the corner, the May 2019 Update is now on 56.6% of Windows 10 devices, and that's up from 45.5% last month. Most of that increase comes from a decrease in usage of version 1803 though, rather than 1809. Windows 10 version 1809 only declined from 25.5% to 25%, while 1803 declined from 24.1% to 13.6%.
The rest moved slightly, with version 1709 declining from 1.9% to 1.8%, older versions declining from 2.7% to 2.5%, and Insiders increasing from 0.3% to 0.5%.
This is the usage adoption chart, and it doesn't show anything surprising. Version 1903 had a slower adoption at first than most of its predecessors, and that's really only because Microsoft isn't forcing users to install it anymore.
Finally, we can look at the Surface adoption chart, and while the Surface Pro 4 is still the most popular, the Pro 6 passed the Pro 3 and the Go to become the third most popular Surface. Presumably, there was a spike with all of the discounts prior to the Pro 7 launch. Of course, we can also see the Pro 7 and Laptop 3 make their debuts on the list.
