If you grew up in the 80s, chances are, you might have played Wonder Boy in the arcades. Although the title has been around over the past couple decades only as a series of ports with some additions, there hasn't been a proper sequel or original title in nearly 30 years. Today, a reimagining of the third release in the series has made its debut with Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap.
Perhaps the first thing that you'll notice with The Dragon’s Trap is that it features beautiful artwork that is hand-drawn. Along with Wonder Boy, you'll also gain a new ally this go-around with Wonder Girl, and will be able to take advantage of different animal forms that will give you unique powers to conquer your enemies. As an added bit of fun, players will be able to go from the hand-drawn art style to an older looking retro 8-bit style while playing the game without any loading.
Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is now available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. A PC release will be available sometime in June.
