An image purported to be of one of Nokia's upcoming Windows Phone 8 devices, codenamed Arrow, has leaked on the Internet in advance of Nokia and Microsoft's joint press conference on Sept. 5. The leaked image came from a user on a Chinese microblogging site.
The image was originally posted on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging site, by Zhang Xiaojun. The Arrow codename would coincide with a recent report that Nokia will reveal two devices, the Phi and Arrow, at its Sept. 5 event with Microsoft. That report said the Arrow would be a mid-range device for AT&T, although a nearly identical version would come to Verizon at a later date.
An image of a reference display for an upcoming Nokia device leaked earlier this month; the general design of that reference display appears to be indicative of the Arrow design seen above. The leaked image of the Arrow comes after an alleged image of the Nokia Phi was also leaked on the Internet earlier this month.
Yesterday, Nokia released a teaser video that proclaimed "things are about to change" at its Sept. 5 event, which will be held in New York City with Microsoft.
