It has been a couple of years since the introduction of the iPhone SE. Apple did refresh the handset in 2017, but only made changes to the internal storage. Over the past year, there have been plenty of rumors that the firm is working on something new for the SE line and a new leak could provide us with our first good look.
Per usual, the images of the new handset could be a clever fabrication, but if the handset pictured is indeed accurate, the successor to the iPhone SE could arrive with a glass back and 3.5mm headphone jack. While the glass aesthetic allows the handset to align with other iPhone devices currently available, there is also rumor that the iPhone SE 2 will come equipped with wireless charging.
While the 3.5mm headphone jack is a welcome sight, it is a bit of an odd choice for Apple, which has recently done away with the port in the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. It will be interesting to see what the real model will offer if and when it is announced. It is unknown when this handset will make its debut, but Apple is holding its annual developer conference in June.
