Recently we have started gathering more bits and pieces of information on the Samsung hybrid chip that will feature an AMD mRDNA GPU. The GPU, based on the RDNA 2 architecture, on the alleged upcoming flagship Exynos 2200 SoC is rumored to be performing really well against a lot of the current products on the market.
Today, we have more information on the GPU and its hardware specifications. According to popular leakster 'Ice Universe', the mRDNA graphics inside the Exynos 2200 reportedly comprises six RDNA 2 Compute Units (CUs) for a total of 384 Stream processors. The clock speeds of the GPU are not known at this point.
Two days earlier, the same leakster also revealed the alleged codenames of the chip. While the Exynos 2200 SoC is called 'Pamir', the AMD mRDNA GPU portion is apparently codenamed 'Voyager'. The chipset would allegedly be built using Samsung's upcoming 4LPP FinFET process.
In terms of CPU power, it is rumored that the Eyxnos 2200 is being tested currently in various combinations of cores (via Clien) consisting of Cortex X1, Cortex X2 as well as slightly less powerful Cortex A78 cores, so as to reach the optimal configuration.
