Garmin announced today that users of its select smartwatches can now download the Amazon Music app on their device. It is worth noting that this is the first smartwatch app for Amazon Music.
For Prime customers, more than two million songs and hundreds of playlists and stations are available to download on their compatible Garmin smartwatch at no extra cost. Compatible devices include the following:
- D2 Delta
- D2 Delta PX
- D2 Delta S
- Forerunner 245 Music
- Forerunner 645 Music
- Forerunner 945
- Fēnix 5 Plus
- Fēnix 5S Plus
- Fēnix 5X Plus
- MARQ Athlete
- MARQ Aviator
- MARQ Captain
- MARQ Driver
- MARQ Expedition
- Vívoactive 3 Music
Regarding today's announcement, Dan Bartel, Garmin Vice President of Global Consumer Sales, said:
“As the first wearable company to offer Amazon Music, we are excited to collaborate with another key music provider to bring even more listening options to customers around the world. Music helps keep us moving during our hardest runs and workouts, and with Amazon Music, there are more than 50 million songs to choose from so you can stay motivated no matter where your training takes you.”
Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers can access more than 50 million songs on their Garmin device and those who are new to the service can use it with no charge for one month as part of the free trial. You can download Amazon Music now via Garmin's Connect IQ store, although it appears the app is available only in the U.S. for now.
