Amazon has announced Prime Wardrobe for Prime users. The new service is currently in beta but you can sign up on the website to be notified when it launches for the public. The service addresses the issue of ordering clothes online without trying them on beforehand only to find they don’t fit properly.
Once it launches, you’ll be able to pick between three and 15 items which will be delivered to your home. You can pick clothes, shoes, and accessories. You’ll have seven days to decide what to keep before completing your purchase. With the items you don't want, you can either drop them off at a UPS location or schedule a free pick-up.
Amazon is hoping to lure customers into using Prime Wardrobe by offering discounts for users who buy more of the items. If you keep three or four items you’ll receive a 10% price cut and if you keep five or more items then the price cut will increase to 20%.
There are over a million items available through Prime Wardrobe for men, women, and children. You’ll find brands including Calvin Klein, Levi’s, Adidas, Timex, Carter’s, Theory, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, J Brand, Milly, Parker, and more. Prime Wardrobe is available for all Prime customers with no additional fees. It’s important to note that if you don’t notify Amazon within seven days of which items you’re returning, you will be charged.
