Amazon.com is rerouting Egghead.com customers to Amazon's electronics store and says in a note on its site that it plans to re-launch Egghead "soon."
"Egghead.com and Amazon.com are teaming up to make it easier than ever to find the best in computers, electronics, software, and much more," the company said in the note to customers.
Egghead.com stopped taking orders through its Web site in October, after Fry's Electronics cancelled its takeover bid of the electronics e-tailer.
Egghead.com, which closed all of its brick-and-mortar retail stores to become a full-fledged e-tailer in 1998, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August.
