Back in August, Amazon announced that it was getting into the fitness band market with the Halo. At the time, you needed an invitation to buy one, which any Prime member could apply for. Now, the Halo Band is available to everyone for $99.99.
Amazon's Halo is unique from other fitness trackers for a variety of reasons; for one thing, it doesn't have a screen. This product has nothing to do with showing you notifications or smartwatch functionality.
One thing that it can do is measure your body fat percentage, and it does this by actually scanning your body. While you're using it, it also analyzes the tone of your voice to determines your positivity. As you might expect, it also analyzes your sleep, and tracks your activity. Most of these features are different than your average smartwatch or fitness band, which typically centers around step-counting data.
While the product costs $99.99, there's a subscription service that goes along with it, and that's free for six months. After that, you'll have to pay $3.99 a month to continue receiving full functionality. The Amazon Halo does come in three colors (and three sizes), including Black + Onyx, Blush + Rose Gold, and Winter + Silver. If you want to check it out, you can find it here.
