Amazon Prime offers great value when you consider the fact that you can order products at the click of a button or take advantage of one hour deliveries in multiple regions of the world like Manhattan and London. But what if you wanted to avoid the lines and commute of a midnight for a highly-anticipated video game? Luckily, there's hope.
Amazon has announced its first ever midnight launch delivery for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 video game. If you're a current Amazon Prime member, you'll be able to place an order for the game using the Prime Now app, select a delivery window and you're good to go. You can even choose to have snacks and extra game controllers included along with the delivery of your copy of Black Ops 3.
If you're interested in taking part in the midnight delivery option of Black Ops 3, you should be mindful of a couple things. First, there's a limited number of deliveries that Amazon is allowing in each market, making it important that you make your reservation sooner than later. Second, there's the fact that Amazon Prime Now is only available in 20 cities at the moment (see list below), so more rural areas will not have access to the midnight delivery option. Lastly, there is no extra charge for the midnight shipping option, so current Prime members get to enjoy the late-night delivery for free.
Amazon Prime Now is currently available in the following cities within the U.S.: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Manhattan, Miami, Minneapolis, Orange County, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle. Amazon's delivery of Black Ops 3 will begin at 12:00am EST (9:00pm PST) and is said to wrap up within two hours.
Amazon did not indicate whether this will be a one-time deal for Black Ops 3 or if the company plans to expand the midnight shipping option for select games in the future.
