Amnesia The Dark Descent comes from indie developer Frictional Games and was first released in 2010. It became a cult hit on the PC, Mac and Linux platforms thanks in part to a ton of great reviews and excellent word of mouth. In addition to today's debut on OnLive and the free game offer, Frictional Games is also re-releasing Justine, a free DLC mission for the game that was originally made for last month's Portal 2 alternate reality game event. The update also includes "five short stories set in the world of Amnesia, written by our writer and illustrated by our concept artists."
Frictional Games is also offering a free download of the game's soundtrack for people who pre-ordered Amnesia: The Dark Descent or purchased the game directly from the developer. Everyone else can still purchase the soundtrack via the company's online store. Frictional Games is currently working on its next game but details have yet to be released.
