A few weeks ago, HTC began rolling out Android 7.0 to the One M9 in parts of Europe. Today, the company made that version of the OS available to its 2015 flagship in the United Kingdom too.
HTC's EMEA Product and Service Director, Graham Wheeler, confirmed availability of the Nougat update for the One M9 in the UK this morning. The UK was among the first markets to get the Nougat update for the HTC 10 too.
The update will bring the One M9 up to Android 7.0 - but that's not quite the newest version of the OS. Android 7.0 was released six months ago; since then, Google has released Android 7.1 and 7.1.1, and is currently beta-testing version 7.1.2.
So far, all Android 7.x releases are installed on just 1.2% of active Android devices.
