Ever since its acquisition by Lenovo, Motorola seems to be struggling with Android updates, but users of the Z2 Force on T-Mobile will be glad to know that the latest version of the operating system has finally begun rolling out for their devices in the US.
The Moto Z2 Force is Lenovo's flagship smartphone of 2017 featuring top of the line hardware specifications, a sturdy build and support for Moto Mods. However, the smartphone has not received the flagship treatment in terms of software, as Google's latest version of Android is already seeding to the Z2 Force's mid-range sibling, the Moto X4.
For T-Mobile users, however, the update has now started appearing and also features the December security update from Google, along with the Oreo enhancements that were announced at Google I/O earlier this year. Since it is an over-the-air update, the notification may not appear for everyone immediately, but it should show up over the coming days or weeks for every Z2 Force user on T-Mobile.
As of now there is no word on when Moto Z2 Force Edition users on Verizon will receive the update. That said, given the minor difference between the device variants from these carriers, the rollout should be just around the corner for the Verizon unit as well.
