With the release of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, Microsoft has taken a significant step in adding support for Android and iOS with the public release of Your Phone. The new app allows Windows 10 users to access their messages and photos stored on an Android device.

As Microsoft leaves behind the failed experiment that was Windows 10 Mobile and embraces Apple and Google's operating systems, Android users are embracing Microsoft back, as shown by the charts on the Play Store. Your Phone Companion is currently the top trending app on Google's app store.
Alongside messages and photos, Your Phone is slated to feature notifications support soon, and will even allow you to mirror your Android phone on your PC at some point in the future, bringing some of the seamless integration between devices that Apple offers users of its ecosystem to the masses.
iOS users are still out of luck as Apple's OS is not supported yet. When it is, you will also be able to connect your phone to your PC using Your Phone, but more advanced features like screen mirroring will most likely not make the cut given the restricted nature of the OS.
You can download the Your Phone app from the Microsoft Store here, and the companion app on the Play Store here.
