Ubisoft shared another update today regarding the upcoming Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, and it's bad news again for fans. The remake's launch date has now been pushed back again, and this time, there isn't even a new release window attached to it.
The game's developers Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai said that they took this decision to make sure they are making it the "best game possible," and that "this extra development time will enable our teams to deliver a remake that feels fresh while remaining faithful to the original."
"We understand the update might come as a surprise and we will continue to keep you posted on the progress of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake," they added.
When the remake was announced last year, it originally had a January 21, 2021 launch date, but in December, those plans were pushed back to March 18, 2021. The latest delay does not assign a new launch date for the title, which may mean the wait this time will be a long one.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is headed to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, with support for the newer generation consoles coming through backward compatibility.
