Anthem Lead Producer Ben Irving revealed today that he is leaving BioWare for a position in another company. The move comes after an eight-year stint at BioWare, with Irving previously working on the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic also as the lead producer.
The announcement arrived via a series of tweets made by Irving, where he described BioWare as "the dream place" to work at. Regarding Anthem, he said the action RPG has a "bright future" and "a great team working on it." It's unknown for now who will be stepping up to take the Lead Producer position now that Irving has left the scene.
Following the less than ideal fan reception the RPG has garnered since launch, Anthem received its Cataclysm update last week after months of delays. We will have to see how the game progresses now that a new lead will be dropping in. Hopefully, it won't follow in the footsteps of Mass Effect: Andromeda.
Don't forget that this is not the only project BioWare has cooking, as it's already confirmed that the next Dragon Age game is also under development.
