Today, Apple finally released the Universal Binary version of Aperture bringing the professional photo editing software native to Apple's newer Intel based machines. The new release is an actual update from the previous original release and is available to previous owners free of charge.
Version 1.1 features better image rendering, new photo editing controls, enhanced performance, universal binary support, and best of all, a new low price. Users are expected to notice massive speed gains on any Mac of up to four times faster, especially when performing image adjustments and searching.
To pacify existing users, current users are being offered the difference between the new price and the old price in the form of a coupon for that price difference which they can spend at any Apple Store.
