Apple announced its $159 AirPods back in September, making headlines for their unique shape and the fact that the company killed off the headphone jack in the latest iPhones. Yesterday, Apple delayed the launch of its AirPods, which were originally slated to ship before the end of the month.
But AirPods aren't the only pair of Bluetooth headphones that use Apple's new W1 chip, which is designed to make the device easier to use. The company also announced three new Beats models: Solo3, PowerBeats3, and BeatsX. And while AirPods will take a bit longer to come to market, PowerBeats 3 is now available.
In fact, the wireless earbuds are the second W1 product to become available, as Solo3 has been in Apple Stores for months now; however, it's the most expensive option, coming in at $299.95.
PowerBeats3 comes in at $100 less for $199.95, and it's offered in black, white, yellow, blue, and red. You can order it from Apple right here, but unfortunately, the Apple Store is down right now due to the company's Mac event later today.
BeatsX is still slated to arrive later this fall, and it appears to be the entry-level model at $149.95, making it $9.05 cheaper than AirPods.
