For years, Apple has been pushing its home entertainment box, Apple TV. While the device offers pretty much the same kinds of subscriptions services and content, it still hasn't been able to quite gain an upper hand against its competitors. Although it has previously tried to secure something unique like TV services, these deals, for the most part, have always stalled. It appears that Apple is now thinking a bit differently and may offer a premium service bundle that encompasses three popular channels.
According to the folks at Recode, Apple wants to sell a premium bundle that will include HBO, Showtime, and Starz. Although the firm does offer each of these services separately, it reportedly wants to bundle them together as one big package.
While this could be a lucrative offering from Apple, there isn't any information available with regards to pricing, which is perhaps the most critical success factor should the bundle make it to market. Naturally, we will have to wait and see whether Apple can close the deal with these major networks.
