Last August, Apple added a new top tier to its iCloud storage platform, offering 2TB of storage for $19.99 a month. Previously, the largest storage option available on iCloud was 1TB, priced at $9.99.
Now, though, Apple has tweaked its storage tiers again, just over nine months after its last revisions. The company has removed the 1TB option entirely, and halved the price of the 2TB tier. That leaves three paid options available for those who need additional online storage:
- 2TB : $9.99 per month
- 200GB : $2.99 per month
- 50GB : $0.99 per month
The lower two tiers remain at the same prices as before, and there's no change to the 5GB free storage allowance either.
Apple is hosting its Worldwide Developer Conference this week, at which it's already made some major announcements, including iOS 11, macOS 10.13 High Sierra, and watchOS 4. It also teased the upcoming iMac Pro, and revealed other new iMacs and MacBooks, as well as the new iPad Pro. The HomePod, a smart speaker powered by Siri, made its debut on Monday too.
