Instagram Stories is already a destination for various activities people do with their mobile devices such as listening to music. For example, Spotify users can directly share the songs they're playing to Instagram Stories without taking a screenshot, a capability that's been in place since 2018. However, Apple Music fans have been left out in the cold.
This is apparently changing soon, if new capabilities introduced by iOS 13.4.5 beta indicate. A developer shared a video on Twitter showing a new feature that allows users to directly share what they're listening to on Apple Music to their Stories.

With the upcoming new integration, users will simply need to pull up the menu for a currently playing song and then tap the share button. Options will then appear including Instagram Stories. Plus, the album art, title, and artist's name will automatically be generated before a Story is shared.
It remains unclear when this option will roll out to the public. For now, you'll need to be a developer to access that feature.
