The upcoming iOS 14 software, due to be released on Monday, will include several major changes to Apple's Podcasts app, according to 9to5Mac. It is expected to offer personally curated content based on your listening history. This new feature will reportedly function similarly to Apple Music's "For You" feature, which suggests new songs, artists, and playlists based on what users have been listening to.
As the Podcasts app will be able to learn more about users' personal preferences, it will be able to offer a more customized experience to each user. There will also be a new user profile, that will let you follow your friends on the app and see what they're listening to.
Another reported change to Apple Podcasts is the option for podcast creators to offer bonus content to the audience. This is similar to what is currently offered when you purchase a movie in the Apple TV app. This bonus content, separate from regular episodes, will be present in the same feed as the podcast. These leaks come ahead of the Cupertino firm's virtual WWDC starting on June 22, where it is expected to reveal more about iOS 14.
