Apple made a net of $32 million for its third quarter, almost half the profit it made in the same period last year, and turnover fell three per cent to $1.43 billion compared to the quarter in 2001.
But CEO Steve Jobs reckons that the outlook in the market remains flat, reflecting similar feelings in the Wintel PC side of the business, with demand flat for new devices.
The company shipped nearly 810,000 Apple Macs during its quarter, and that's a slight decrease on this year as well.
