Apple has pulled an iOS application, which uses the new video camera on the iPhone 4 to create a Chatroulette-like experience, from their iTunes App Store just days after it was approved.
As Apple fan blog 148 apps notes, the iPhone app (called iChatr) was pulled after just 8 days by Apple, who say the "number of users exposing themselves" is unacceptable -- ironically the same issue which plagues the original desktop version of Chatroulette.
"The iChatr application has currently been removed from the App Store due to reports of a number of users exposing themselves during the random video chat sessions," the developer told 148 apps in a statement.
"We are currently discussing possible solutions to the problem with Apple."
While the developers remain hopeful the app -- which took use of the new front-facing camera on the iPhone 4 and the new iOS 4 to clone the Chatroulette experience -- will be re-accepted into the App Store, the chances are slim, with Apple renowned for taking a controversial no nudity-approach to the App Store.
Chatroulette, the original site which took the world by storm earlier in the year and allows users to have video conversations with complete strangers, has also struggled to eradicate those who choose to display nudity on the site.
